- Allan Arnaboldi says one of his granddaughters had an experience with a friend that reminded him how far the world had come. The friend, a girl, said she was transgender. When the granddaughter asked what that meant, the friend said she was born a boy but felt that she was really a girl, and therefore lived as a girl.
