Because the relationship between Thailand and Saudi Arabia has been at a standstill for more than three decades until the day comes when there is good news that the Prime Minister of Thailand was invited to visit as a royal guest. So I took the opportunity to look back on the efforts of the action to restore the relationship between the two countries until the day that I have been waiting for.
Restoring relations between Thailand and Saudi Arabia has always been a priority for many Thai governments. However, the operation started to have a tangible improvement after the three-way meeting during the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit on October 9-10, 2016 in Bangkok between General Prayut Chan-o-cha. Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the time and Mr. Adil bin Ahmad Al Nubir, then Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.
General Prayut later met with Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the deputy prime minister and the Saudi Defense Minister.
